Christmas had come around again!
Unlike in previous years, Real Madrid's Christmas celebration was not busy at all this year.
Over the past few years, because of the FIFA Club World Cup, Real Madrid had to travel back and forth every December, resulting in a packed schedule and enormous pressure from matches. As a result, the club's traditional Christmas dinner was usually squeezed into whatever gaps they could find.
But this year was different. The management had announced early on that, the night after the team played the eighteenth round of La Liga—December 23—they would hold the annual Christmas dinner at Bernabéu Stadium.
With plenty of time and thorough preparations, this year's Christmas dinner was larger than ever.
Besides the players, coaching staff, management, and employees of Real Madrid's First Team, their families were also invited. Guests filled the venue, creating an exceptionally lively atmosphere. Only the renovated and expanded club trophy room could accommodate such a grand banquet.
With so many guests attending, the club had specially invited several renowned chefs, including those from Juan's Home Barbecue Restaurant, to oversee the cuisine.
The grand event also attracted media reporters from around the world, as well as the attention of countless fans online.
Real Madrid had achieved brilliant results this season. When Yang Yang first took charge, the team's seven consecutive losses in friendly matches had made the outside world extremely pessimistic about its prospects. Yet after the official matches began, Yang Yang's coaching results exploded, and the team surged forward triumphantly.
So far, Real Madrid had maintained a perfect record on both fronts, La Liga and the Champions League. Across all competitions, they had reached twenty-four consecutive victories—a feat that surpassed any team in any period of Real Madrid's history.
