They packed the eighty-meter-wide avenue until it was completely impassable.
The crazed Real Madrid fans took to the streets in unspoken agreement, all surging toward Fountain of Cybele Square.

Although Yang Yang had said in a pre-match media interview that the team did not need to make any preparations, that the championship trophy was the best gift, and that even without a bus, walking to Cibeles Square after winning the title would be something Real Madrid's players would gladly do,
in reality, Real Madrid had still made ample preparations.
The team had prepared an open-top bus painted in Real Madrid's traditional white, complete with the club crest and name. After the match, the Real Madrid First Team players and coaching staff boarded it and slowly headed south from Bernabéu.
The bus moved extremely slowly. The fans ahead parted like a tide, while those behind quickly closed in again, following the team bus as it slowly made its way south.
It was destined to be a sleepless night.
