Inside the Alchemy Department's main hall, Jiang Donghua stood with his hands behind his back, pacing back and forth. From time to time, he glanced toward the entrance, his brows tightly furrowed.
"Why hasn't Master arrived yet?"
He had felt uneasy all day, as if a pair of cold eyes were watching him from the shadows. Yet whenever he turned around, he saw nothing.
"This feeling of being watched is fucking awful!"
Just as he irritably raked a hand through his hair, the Alchemy Department's doors were finally pushed open, and a familiar figure strode inside.
Elder Mo Xuan!
Jiang Donghua's eyes lit up, and he immediately hurried over.
"Master!"
Mo Xuan had been lowering his head in thought. When he heard the voice and looked up, he was instantly stunned.
"Hm? What's this brat doing here?"

Jiang Donghua glanced around and lowered his voice.
"Master, let's talk somewhere without people."

A face full of question marks.
But seeing how mysterious his disciple was acting, Mo Xuan could only shake his head helplessly.
"Fine. Who told this old man to spoil you?"
He waved a hand for Jiang Donghua to follow, then led him straight to the top floor of the Alchemy Department.
