Background / History
The Sunspot Tribe derives its power from the Shadow Law and the combined Rules of Shadow and Illusion. It entered the Radiant Sun Star System tens of thousands of years ago, established nine powerful veins, and nearly displaced the Radiant Sun Tribe as the system's overlord. Each vein was commanded by Celestial Venerable-level experts, while even ordinary members possessed at least Celestial Realm strength. 786 816
Its Radiant Sun contingent was ultimately defeated after a protracted conflict. The survivors retreated to Venus, where a century-long war devastated the planet; the Sunspot War Emperor delayed the Radiant Sun Lord at immense cost, preventing the tribe from being reduced to less than a tenth of its strength. 836
The invasion force in the Radiant Sun Star System was only part of the wider tribe. The main body fought alongside its parent clan in the struggle for the Blazing Flame Star Core and steadily expanded its holdings, occupying two major and twelve smaller Star Core fragments by this period. Its total military power was estimated at roughly two to three tenths of the Blazing Flame Nebula's strength. 874 1000
The tribe later consolidated control over the Southern and Northern Star Cores, absorbing or forcing the submission of seventeen Nebula Great Clans. At its height, it held three Main Star Cores, sixteen surrounding fragment foundations, and territory in the Western Star Core—resources assessed as equivalent to sixty percent of a late Level Seven Star Core. 1189 1220

Abilities & Military Methods
Shadow Law
The Sunspot Tribe's Origin Strength is the Shadow Law, a power described as more profound than the Soul Law and seemingly detached from ordinary space. 786
- Can evolve phantoms of powerful external experts and command them in battle.
- Grants invisibility, intangibility, attack weakening, void creation, enemy killing, and the ability to seize bodies. 789
- A surviving trace can parasitize a new host and re-evolve into a Sunspot Tribe or Shadow Clan expert. 786
- Can create vast numbers of clones and replicate powerful existences. 786
- At its rumored peak, can project across nebulae, star clusters, and cosmic galaxies. 786
Shadow Beasts and Soul Techniques
The tribe can cultivate or control Shadow Beasts and employ their souls as expendable military resources.
- Blood Soul Returns to Origin allows a combatant to absorb the remnant souls of allied Shadow Beasts for a massive increase in power. 1203
- The technique permanently consumes the absorbed souls and carries severe karmic consequences for anyone who kills its user. 1203
- Sunspot forces have used the mass self-destruction of Shadow Beasts to annihilate attacking elite forces. 1202
Battle Arrays
Sunspot formations compensate for numerical disadvantages and can restrain even Forbidden Existences.
- Shadow Array — rapidly assembled by elite troops to concentrate military strength against powerful individual opponents. 1286
- Dark Tide Prison Heaven Array — suppresses and confines enemies; used alongside the Royal Army to trap Quasi-Giants. 1286
- Dark Asura Array — activated during the defense of the Southern Star Core main camp. 1286
- Illusory Chaos Heaven Array — conceals troops in an untouchable alternate space and disrupts Heaven Clan Dao Rhyme and related techniques. 1290
Equipment and Strategic Assets
- Sky-Shooting Bow — Titan-class clan-protecting heavy weapon once wielded by a Shadow Clan direct descendant; defended the Southern Star Core main camp. 1286 1287
- Stone of Destiny — immense focal point of the tribe's fortune and destiny, supported by its Sea of Fortune and Fate Heavy Artifacts; destroyed by the Wolf Master. 1287 1292
- Sea of Fortune — vast reservoir of the tribe's accumulated destiny, capable of manifesting fortune dragons to suppress invaders. 1287
- Southern and Northern Star Core Wills — Star Core Wills refined into exclusive protector wills for the tribe. 1287
- Shadow Embryos and soul seeds — methods used to implant Lineage Masters into replacement bodies and permit Heavenly Lords to summon their agents across space-time. 878 1074
Relationships
- Shadow Clan — Parent Starry Sky great clan; the Sunspot Tribe is one of its branches and inherited its Shadow-based methods. 874 1074
- Radiant Sun Tribe — Longtime rival in the Radiant Sun Star System. The Sunspot Tribe nearly supplanted it before suffering a major defeat and retreating to Venus. 816 836
- Wolf Pack Civilization — Temporarily allied with one Sunspot branch, but later became an irreconcilable enemy. Their war culminated in the Wolf Master's attack on the Southern Star Core main camp and the destruction of the Stone of Destiny. 1120 1277 1292
- Ember Radiance System — Entered an alliance with both the Sunspot Tribe and the Wolf Pack Civilization after Black One's future deductions. 1221
- Radiant Day System — Targeted by seven Sunspot lineages in the Eastern Star Core under a proclamation accusing it of treachery and illegitimate rule. 1201
- Heavenly Cunning Beast Clan — Allied with Black Three Heavenly Lord in exchange for the promise of its ancestral land and a tenth of the Eastern Star Core as a fief. 1277
- Ice Cold Council — Infiltrated by the Sunspot Tribe as part of an effort to threaten the Wolf Pack Civilization's left flank. 1285
War with the Wolf Pack Civilization
The Sunspot Tribe and Wolf Pack Civilization formally declared war after their conflicting interests became irreconcilable. The Sunspot Tribe mobilized nearly 20 million trillion troops, while Black Three Heavenly Lord secured vassal support through promised territory and rewards. 1277
During its march, the tribe annihilated minor factions in its path and used their inhabitants as Blood Food rather than incorporating them into its rule. This practice made many neutral forces fear the tribe and hope for a Wolf Pack victory. 1278 1281
The Sunspot Tribe's conventional military strength proved exceptionally difficult to overcome. Its forces endured thousands of years of fighting on the Southern Star Core's first fragment, inflicted hundreds of billions of casualties on the Wolf Pack Civilization's vanguard, and used the fragment as bait for a larger encirclement. 1278 1279
At the Sixth Fragment, Black Six Heavenly Lord and his entire lineage fought to destruction. The Sunspot Tribe lost over 260 billion troops without a single survivor, yet its main force soon arrived with tens of millions of trillions of soldiers, fifteen titled elite armies, and the banners of Black One, Black Two, and Black Three. 1288
While the main armies clashed, the Wolf Master infiltrated the Southern Star Core with four Quasi-Giants. His assault overcame the main camp's arrays and Sky-Shooting Bow before shattering the tribe's Stone of Destiny. The collapse injured Sunspot troops and vassals across the battlefield, devastated morale, and forced Black Three Heavenly Lord to rely on deception and the deployment of Black Two and Black Three factions to stabilize the front. 1285 1286 1292 1293
