Taking a day off due to writer's block.
When weaving baskets and hampers, the key lies in finishing the rim.
The story has now entered its latter half and should end within the next few months. It's not that I don't want to write more, but that I need to give this book a complete ending—one that doesn't fall apart.
Before Proficiency, although Dong Liu had already written several books, none of them had been even half as long as this one. Writing something this lengthy for the first time made me experience unprecedented pressure, especially after four million characters, when I realized that the protagonist's combat power was becoming increasingly uncontrollable.
What had been a perfectly good leveling story somehow turned into an invincibility story without me even noticing.
Now that I've begun wrapping things up, I naturally need to fill in as many of the holes I dug earlier as possible. (It's impossible to fill them all. I can only ensure that the storyline remains smooth while giving everyone a complete story. After all, I can't possibly explain the future development of every character who ever appeared, can I?)
Therefore, some of the upcoming plot turns are extremely important to this book and must be handled with care.
As for connecting the later parts of the story, there are still many things to consider. I need a day or two to sort them out.
Well, I'll try to keep it to one day.
