Background / History
Dao Mei began as an evil-faction player and a leading Blood Saber Sect disciple. She was willing to accept harsh equipment restrictions and Chivalry Point penalties if they improved her strength, exemplified by her purchase of the King-grade Evil Buddha Pendant. 248 274
After joining the Blood Saber Sect, she participated in the mission to open Mei Niansheng’s tomb. Her ambition eventually became explicit: she planned to kill the Blood Saber Ancestor and claim the sect leadership for herself. With Ye Weiming and Cang Xingyu, she helped defeat the Blood Saber Ancestor and Hua Tiegan, becoming the Blood Saber Sect’s fifth-generation sect leader. 394 603 614 943
She later resigned the Blood Saber Sect leadership to join the Divine Constable Bureau as a junior disciple. Under the Bureau’s arrangement, she infiltrated the Sun Moon Holy Cult, where she rose to become Dongfang Bubai’s Left Emissary of Light under the identity Ru Wo Shi Sha. 676 935 1190 1195
Her undercover identity was ultimately exposed to Dongfang Bubai, who had recognized her through her distinctive saber stance and aura. Dongfang nevertheless stepped down and transferred the Sun Moon Holy Cult’s leadership to Dao Mei; she remained subordinate to Ye Weiming within the Divine Constable Bureau. 1195 1422
Appearance
Dao Mei is a striking, slender young woman frequently associated with fiery red clothing. Her beauty is repeatedly noted alongside an aura that makes her seem both captivating and dangerous. 545 905
- Usually appears in red attire and red boots. 545 1402
- Commonly carries a treasured saber, especially the Blood Saber or Pufferfish Poison. 413 905
- Uses disguise techniques that can radically alter her apparent age, build, clothing, hair, and voice. 677 895 905
- In battle, her Ghost Blade style has been compared to a “soul-snatching” red-clad specter. 414
Personality
Dao Mei is ambitious, competitive, and highly motivated by opportunities to strengthen herself. She chose the Cold Moon Silver Frost Saber over a Guild Founding Token because immediate personal combat power mattered more to her than a longer-term organizational advantage. 284
She is direct in negotiation and understands that honesty is often the best way to deal with Ye Weiming. When she wanted his Lord of the Clouds saber, she openly stated her interest and demanded a price rather than attempting to conceal her intentions. 1452
In combat, Dao Mei is bold, ruthless, and self-reliant. She can lead teams under pressure, make rapid tactical decisions, and independently infiltrate hostile territory. Despite this, she has a playful and easily provoked side, particularly in her frequent banter with Ye Weiming. 181 252 905 1411
Abilities & Skills
Saber Mastery
Dao Mei specializes in aggressive, continuous saber offense built around sharp killing moves, pressure, and exploiting openings.
- Her saber attacks can form relentless chains that leave opponents unable to spare attention for other threats. 1402
- She has reached the realm where her weapon functions as an extension of her body; Ye Weiming compares this to the principle that “even a feather cannot be added.” 930
- Her left hand is less agile than her right, creating an acknowledged weakness in dual-saber coordination. 1206
- Her techniques include the Blood Saber Technique, Thunderous Plow Blood Saber, and Blood-Draining Horizontal Slash. 905 1332
Blade Will
Blade Will is Dao Mei’s passive saber intent, acquired after her martial comprehension deepened.
- Increases blade-weapon sharpness by 30%. 337
- Raises her chance to inflict negative statuses by 30%. 337
- Has inflicted a muscle-severing effect on Cang Xingyu during their staged battle in the snow valley. 603
- Its debuff potential is less effective against opponents with extreme defense, such as Niu Zhichun’s perfected Indestructible Golden Body. 1332
Ghost Blade and Heaven Blade
Dao Mei’s Ghost Blade and Heaven Blade are system-recognized, self-created saber techniques derived from her accumulated martial arts.
- Ghost Blade is a sinister, explosive killing technique built around converging saber energies. 414 916
- Heaven’s Will is Like a Saber is her Heaven Blade technique, developed from Heavenly Saber Song Que’s partial inheritance. 898
- The first Heaven Blade intent, Calamity of Arms, creates an oppressive battlefield-wide killing intent that makes even powerful enemies feel insignificant. 964
- She has stated that she fully grasped the Heaven, Earth, and Ghost blades and was already developing ideas for a fourth blade. 1180
Heavenly Inquiry Saber Technique
A profound saber art obtained from the Former Dynasty Secret Realm.
- Its first move is What Is Formless, How to Test It? 905
- Dao Mei has demonstrated the first five Heavenly Inquiry moves consecutively against the Heavenly Mountain Child Elder. 1076
- The technique produces complex, celestial-patterned saber trajectories that are difficult to predict. 905
Great Law of Star Absorption
An advanced internal skill that drains enemies’ Internal Energy and converts it into Dao Mei’s own power.
- Can weaken an opponent while restoring her own internal-skill proficiency. 712
- Absorbing Hattori Senjun restored most of the proficiency she had lost after her internal skills reset. 712
- Its proficiency restoration cannot be directed into a chosen internal skill. 712
- Rapid absorption risks impure Internal Energy and long-term physical harm if not properly resolved. 1219
- Her later cultivation method was intended to eliminate these hidden dangers. 1219
Disguise and Infiltration
Dao Mei’s Ghost skill allows her to conduct deep-cover operations.
- Can perfectly imitate a target’s appearance and voice. 905
- Used the technique to infiltrate Temujin’s camp as an injured scout, then impersonated a Mongolian doctor. 905
- Has adopted identities including a middle-aged warrior, Tolui, and Xuan Li Gong. 895 906 1424
- Uses disguises in conjunction with stealth kills, misdirection, and intelligence gathering. 905 906
Command and Tactical Judgment
Dao Mei is a capable battlefield commander rather than merely a front-line attacker.
- Took command during the battle against the level 55 BOSS Hou Tong Hai, ordering teammates not to intervene recklessly. 181
- Continued directing her allies even after suffering heavy suppression damage against Yuanzhen. 252
- Led Sun Moon Holy Cult forces to three victories against Zuo Lengchan’s Five Peaks Sword Sect coalition. 1190
- Was trusted to lead an infiltration group into Heaven’s Will’s Luoyang headquarters. 1424
