The Qingping Sword, the personal sword of Tongtian Sect Master in Investiture of the Gods.
In many of the prehistoric-world derivative works from Chen Luo's previous life, the Qingping Sword's rank had been elevated without limit. It was said to have been transformed from part of the Chaos Green Lotus, and was even promoted to Tongtian Sect Master's Dao Attainment Treasure, surpassing the Four Swords of Executing Immortals.
That was merely something later generations had fabricated.
In truth, in Investiture of the Gods, the Qingping Sword was described only once.
It was mentioned in a line from Tongtian Sect Master's entrance poem at the Myriad Immortals Formation: "The three-foot treasure sword is called Qingping." Apart from that, there was no separate description of the "Qingping Sword."
However, judging from the configuration of the Three Friends, the Qingping Sword's rank should have been the same as Laozi's Iron Cudgel and Primordial Heavenly Venerable's Three Treasures Jade Ruyi. They were all personal weapons of Primordial Daluo Golden Immortals. Their rank should have been below treasures such as the Four Swords of Executing Immortals, the Taiji Diagram, and the Pangu Banner, making them second-tier magic treasures.
Yet later, during the battle among the Saints within the Myriad Immortals Formation, it was said that Tongtian Sect Master "brandished his sword" and charged at Venerable Zhunti of the Western Teachings. Venerable Zhunti brushed the sword once with the Seven Treasures Wonderful Tree, and it shattered. Whether that shattered sword was the Qingping Sword was never explicitly stated, but throughout the entire book, Tongtian Sect Master had no other sword to accompany him besides the Qingping Sword.
Assuming that sword really was the Qingping Sword, was it because the Qingping Sword was too weak that it had been shattered by the Seven Treasures Wonderful Tree?
