This isn't part of the story. I just happened to see the first paragraph of the commentary for Ending Arc (7), and it brought back some memories. I realized that it was probably something I had written myself.
So, a reader sent me a collection of quotes from Martial World that he had put together.
He said that those words had made him go back and look through the book, and that he had found it deeply moving.
So I took a look as well, and I was moved too.
I remember about eighty or ninety percent of it. There were probably two or three lines I didn't remember having written myself.
