Uchiha Tekka was the first to leap from their hiding place and rush toward the source of the noise.

The other two immediately followed.

Before long, they arrived at the site of the explosions.

What they saw happened to be a sight that left them both amused and exasperated.

Intense firelight and the pungent smell of gunpowder spread through the forest.

Near the ground, which had been blasted full of craters of varying sizes, quite a few Kirigakure ninjas lay sprawled in all directions.

"What are you doing? Do you think this is some game?"

Uchiha Tekka snapped back to his senses and flung out a barrage of Kunai, finishing off all the wounded Kirigakure enemies.

Only then did he turn to look at Uchiha Daiki.

"I just took care of all of them."

As though he had not heard what the other man had just said, Uchiha Daiki turned to meet his gaze and spoke with an easy expression.

Hearing that, the three of them looked again at the enemy corpses scattered across the ground.

Uchiha Yashiro leaped over and carefully inspected the enemies' identities, as well as the Sealing Scrolls they carried.

After confirming that the scrolls did indeed contain battlefield supplies, he looked up at Uchiha Tekka. "Looks like these guys were the targets we were supposed to ambush."

With that confirmed, Uchiha Tekka finally relaxed.

He turned to Uchiha Daiki. "Don't act on your own again next time."

"You could easily put your teammates—and this is a secret mission—in danger..."

"I killed them all. No one knows what our mission was, and no one knows we did it. Doesn't that make it a secret mission too?"

His words once again left Uchiha Tekka and the other two speechless.

Uchiha Inabi thought it over carefully, found that it made sense, and nodded. "That actually seems right?"

He exchanged a glance with Uchiha Tekka, who shot him an irritated glare.

"Let's go."

Uchiha Tekka turned and called out.

"Where are we going now?"

Uchiha Daiki immediately asked.

"Now that the supply line here has been cut, we'll carry out the next mission."

"We'll coordinate with the other combat squads and begin attacking Kirigakure's reinforcements, stopping them from reinforcing the front lines!"

Uchiha Tekka answered.

"Oh, is that so?"

"Then let's go over there. There are more enemies in that direction."

Uchiha Daiki pointed to the area behind and to his left.

With his keen hearing and sense of smell, he had already detected quite a few enemies more than two kilometers away in that direction.

At this moment, those enemies were advancing rapidly, hurrying toward the interior of the Land of Fire's border region.

"Over there?"

Uchiha Inabi looked in the direction Uchiha Daiki was pointing, puzzled.
