Rayleigh let out a soft sigh.
Though his situation was dire, there was not the slightest trace of panic on his somewhat pale, aged face.
What remained was only a calm acceptance of life and death, fearless before any threat.

Charlotte Linlin looked down at Rayleigh from above. Her gaze swept over his severed limbs, and a hint of scrutiny appeared in her eyes.
"A man like you actually ended up in this state... Who did this to you?"
"Even the BIGMOM Pirates, whose 'intelligence network' is called the best in the business, failed to receive any news?"
Rayleigh met Charlotte Linlin's scrutinizing gaze and said calmly, "It seems the Marines sealed off the information very thoroughly."
After Charlotte Linlin asked that question, the first thing Rayleigh thought of was that the Marines had blocked the news.
That meant the outside world knew nothing about what had happened in the Sabaody Archipelago.
In reality, however, the Revolutionary Army had an intelligence network even more capable than the BIGMOM Pirates', and had still managed to uncover some clues.
"The Marines?"
Hearing Rayleigh's words, a dangerous glint immediately appeared in Charlotte Linlin's eyes. She said coldly:
"Are you saying the Marines did this to you and then deliberately sent you here to me?"
"In terms of the 'result,' that is indeed the case."
Rayleigh sighed softly.
Perospero looked at Rayleigh.
Having already guessed the Marines' motives, he said mockingly, "The great Dark King Rayleigh was actually used as a pawn by the Marines. You really become more useless with age, lick-lip!"
With that, Perospero turned to Charlotte Linlin on the throne.
