Qing Wu now had two Dragon Scales. It was only while chatting with Dragonite that Qing Wu learned the guardians of Sky Pillar were not unchanging either. They were replaced once every ten years.
Their origins differed as well. Some were Dragon-type Pokémon from the Draconids, some came from the Dragon-type Pokémon of Dragon Island, and some were the leaders of wild Dragon-type Pokémon.
Qing Wu had already followed the stairs to the twenty-seventh floor. There, he saw a blue-green figure busily working away. This floor was covered with books.
It was a Duraludon.
Duraludon was a blue-green dragon with light-green parts on its body.
Duraludon had yellow eyebrows and pink eyes. Long white fur grew from its head, chin, abdomen, and tail, making it look like a kindly old man.
Duraludon was extremely friendly toward humans, but that did not mean it had no temper. Once enraged, it would use an exceptionally violent Dragon Breath to destroy everything around it.
Duraludon possessed a new ability called Raging Fury. When its stamina fell to a certain level, its Special Attack would rise dramatically.
At that point, Duraludon was practically a cheating Saint Seiya, bursting with its small universe.
"You're the Trial Participant Lord Rayquaza brought back, aren't you? Come down," Duraludon said slowly.
This Duraludon was enormous, taking up nearly half the floor.
"Hello, new Trial Participant. I'm the guardian of the twenty-fifth through twenty-seventh floors. My name is Duraludon."
"My task is simple. I have all these books here. You just need to arrange them neatly," Duraludon said with a smile.
"However, only one Pokémon may organize them, and it must move lightly. Be careful not to damage these ancient books of mine. They're the collection I've built over a thousand years!"
