The Abandoned Spinarak

"Fine, you refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit. Fatty here was giving you a chance to live."

"You don't know how to cherish it, and you're using Fatty's words against us. Have you got the guts of a bear?"

The short man spoke first, his words extremely well-placed, making the fat man feel incredibly comfortable.

The short man knew his little Pokémon, Bellsprout, was still very weak, so the clever him directly latched onto the fat man's leg.

By constantly flattering the fat man, the short man secured the second-in-command position within the team.

Qing Wu secretly made a gesture, the signal he had agreed upon with Kecleon and Zubat to launch an attack.

Upon receiving the command, Zubat and Kecleon attacked simultaneously.

A whirlwind suddenly rose quietly from the field, the raging wind ruffling Qing Wu's hair.

Qing Wu stood calmly, looking at everything around him with a detached expression.

"Damn it, why did a whirlwind suddenly start?" The fat man was also stunned by the sudden whirlwind.

"Careful, enemy attack!!" The fat man suddenly thought of something, looking at the calm Qing Wu.

Qing Wu seemed to see through everything and nodded at the fat man, who now understood.

This was Qing Wu using himself as bait, intending to capture his entire team in one go.

"Spinarak, use String Dance," the fat man quickly said to Spinarak.

Spinarak nodded calmly, then spat out silk that scattered like a heavenly maiden's flowers, spreading throughout the forest.

"This fat man actually has some skill," Qing Wu said, watching Spinarak use the wind to spread its webs all over the forest.

Even with the strong whirlwind, Spinarak stood firm on its web, moving freely.

"Ah, ah, ah, Bellsprout, pull yourself together!" The short man suddenly realized that his Bellsprout had fallen to the ground, unconscious.

There was a sharp wound on Bellsprout's head, from which green liquid was continuously flowing.

"When did this happen?" The short man looked around. What the short man didn't notice, Qing Wu saw clearly.

He saw Zubat, under the effect of Tailwind, quietly approach Bellsprout.

Before Bellsprout could react, it used its sharp wings to unleash transparent wind blades, striking Bellsprout's body.

After Bellsprout fell, Zubat left as silently as it came.

"My Spinarak's web array is set up, just waiting for your Zubat to enter this net,"

The fat man chuckled sinisterly, his face, scrunched up with fat, bearing a sinister smile like a poisonous snake.

"Ever since I entered the training camp, I knew that Flying-type Pokémon were troublesome, so I invented this move for Spinarak to learn, using the wind to spit out silk."

The fat man said proudly.

"Unfortunately, I have more than one Pokémon," Qing Wu murmured, and a huge rock fell from the sky.

The spider web instantly broke, and Spinarak frantically dodged the rock's attack.

Meowth dodged nimbly and used Scratch to split the falling rocks into several pieces.

This made Qing Wu look at this Meowth with a bit more respect.

"There's another Pokémon?" The fat man was stunned. With that, a fierce glint appeared in his eyes.

"Spinarak, use Poison Sting directly on this person!"

The fat man pointed at Qing Wu and shouted, then took out the Pokémon stored in his bracelet and released them – three Beedrill.

"You guys quickly release your other Pokémon too."

The fat man's combat intuition was extremely sharp. When he sensed something was wrong, he quickly called for his companions to release their other Pokémon.

Two Spearow and two Oddish were released. Qing Wu looked at the Pokémon the tall man released, which turned out to be an Electrike.

After coming out of the Poké Ball, this Electrike happily ran to the tall man's trouser leg and playfully tussled with Meowth.

Annoyed, Meowth directly swatted Electrike's head lightly with a paw, signaling the little guy to stop fooling around.

"To have captured an Electrike already," Qing Wu found it hard to imagine the current Electrike as the powerful Manectric that would dominate later.

In his past life, Qing Wu always saw resentment and indifference towards humans in Manectric's eyes during meetings.

That Manectric was also a high-level Elite Four-class Pokémon, and after Mega Evolution, it possessed strength comparable to a high-level Elite Four.

"Attack all of you, kill him!" The fat man commanded his Pokémon.

However, these Pokémon seemed not to have heard the fat man's command. Instead, they bared their fangs at him.

These unruly Pokémon had not been tamed by the fat man's group.

The Beedrill raised their behinds and shot stingers at the fat man one after another, while Spearow bared their sharp claws.

Even Oddish shook its leaves, scattering purple poison powder.

If not for the fat man's loyal Spinarak protecting him, the fat man might have been pierced by the Beedrill's stingers in public and died from excessive blood loss.

However, the loyal Spinarak was pierced through its body by a Beedrill's stinger, and the Beedrill lifted Spinarak high into the air.

"Ah!" Seeing Spinarak pierced by the Beedrill's stinger.

The gleaming bee stinger stopped about a centimeter from him, and the Spinarak struggled, its body twitching.

Seeing this, the fat man threw the Poké Ball in his hand and fled, scrambling away.

As the Spinarak's body convulsed, it watched its trainer abandon it and flee in a panic.

"Koffing, use Self-Destruct!" After the fat man fled, the skinny monkey saw the Pokémon's eyes all turn towards him.

The skinny monkey knew the Pokémon were about to vent their anger on him, so he quickly told the Koffing to use Self-Destruct.

With a loud boom, countless smoke plumes were produced.

When the smoke cleared, the skinny monkey and the short man had vanished. The tall man, attempting to escape, was blocked by a Zubat.

The Koffing's Self-Destruct didn't inflict too much damage on the Pokémon on the field.

"Kecleon, take care of the Pokémon on the field," Qing Wu commanded.

Kecleon burst from the ground. It turned out Kecleon had been ambushing Qing Wu by digging a tunnel nearby, protecting him.

"Rock Smash," Qing Wu commanded. This was a skill Qing Wu had created himself, combining Rock Tomb and Rock Slide.

When these two skills were unleashed simultaneously, they acted like two rocks crushing together, inflicting immense damage on the Pokémon.

"Dada-da." After dealing with these Pokémon, Qing Wu walked up to the tall man, not far away, and scanned his Pokémon with the system.

{PS: To prevent dear readers from saying I'm padding the word count, I've kept the data for most Pokémon brief, except for the protagonist's.}

Facing Qing Wu up close, Meowth shielded the tall man and Electrike behind it, revealing its claws beneath its fur.

"I mean no harm," Qing Wu said to the tall man.

"I'm here to help you," Qing Wu said to him a second time.

Qing Wu took out the Poké Balls the fat man had left behind and returned the defeated Pokémon to them one by one.

Only the Spinarak, its body pierced, remained at the scene. Green blood flowed from the wound where the bee stinger had pierced it.

The Spinarak's blood dripped onto the ground, forming a small puddle.

"Thankfully, no internal organs were hit." Qing Wu glanced at the Spinarak's wound. A Pokémon with green potential was quite rare.

The Spinarak lay motionless on the ground, its eyes vacant as it looked at Qing Wu, its former enemy.
