The ground rippled like water, and streaks of flickering blue light teleported Qing Wu out of the ancient tower.
By the time Qing Wu recovered, he had already appeared beside a vast lake.
It was a clear, curved lake. Its surface was as smooth as a mirror, reflecting the blue sky, white clouds, green mountains, and verdant trees.
A gentle breeze brushed across the lake, raising layer upon layer of ripples. Under the sunlight, the water glittered like fish scales and shattered jade, filling one with peace and delight.
Qing Wu felt as though his entire soul had been purified just by standing beside the lake. The gloomy thoughts in his mind vanished without a trace.
Just then, Qing Wu saw thick fog rise over the entire lake. A dark silhouette emerged from within it.
"Lucario, what brings you out of your Trial Tower and onto my territory?" A guqin-like voice drifted from the fog. It was dreamlike and illusory, like heavenly music.
"Milotic, I've come to ask you for a favor. My friend wants his Squirtle to complete its evolution here. Please grant him permission." Lucario revealed its figure.
"I'm sorry, Lucario. Recently, the Water-type Pokémon in the lake suddenly contracted a strange illness. Their bodies began emitting a floral fragrance, and flower patterns appeared on their skin. I'm currently using the power of the Water Sanctuary to suppress the illness." Milotic finally emerged from the dense fog.
