Lian finally breathed a sigh of relief. After helping Qing Wu remove the Micro Bomb, the favor he owed Qing Wu was settled.
"Thanks, friend. Let me borrow the Pokémon Analyzer for a bit." Qing Wu spoke familiarly, shamelessly treating him like an old acquaintance.
Less than half an hour had passed, so Qing Wu still had plenty of time to find that wastrel who was selling off his family heirlooms.
"Go ahead. You know how to operate this device, right?" Lian yawned. With the weight in his heart lifted, he naturally began to feel sleepy.
Lian had no idea how many days and nights he had gone without sleep. He researched during the day and ran his shop at night.
According to Team Rocket's rules, the shops in the Underground Black Market had to open every day, and were allowed only four days off each month.
If a shop exceeded those four days of rest, Team Rocket would issue one warning. After three consecutive warnings, Team Rocket would reclaim the shop.
After all, the shopkeepers had to pay tribute to Team Rocket every month. What if they rested too long and failed to make any money?
"I'm about to collapse. If you know how to use the analyzer, go ahead. I'm going upstairs to sleep on the shop's couch." Lian staggered out, looking as if he might fall asleep at any second.
"Hey, hey, hey! Is it really okay to leave an outsider like me here? Aren't you afraid I'm a bad guy? Aren't you afraid I'll tamper with your laboratory?" Qing Wu extended his hand in a helpless gesture. What he admired most about Lian was how carefree he was.
Once Lian acknowledged someone as a friend, he would do everything in his power to help them, no
