Qing Wu happened to be somewhat tired from drifting across the sea. He checked his current progress and found that he had covered only one-third of the distance to the waters near Dragon Island. At most, he would need another day to arrive.
Qing Wu decided to stay on the island for a day. There were three reasons for this. First, he had been aboard the yacht for several days and was tired. He desperately wanted the solid feeling of having his feet on land.
Second, the newly emerged island might contain some special resources.
Third, Qing Wu had learned why the yacht had slowed down. Since the power system had been damaged, part of the solar energy could no longer be converted into electricity.
The stored power had already fallen below the critical level. He needed to find a place to bask in the sun and fully recharge the reserve batteries.
Qing Wu set the island as the yacht's destination. The yacht gradually changed direction and headed toward New Moon Island.
Before long, it reached the area near New Moon Island's beach. Qing Wu pressed a button in the cabin, and with four loud splashes, the huge anchors dropped from the yacht's four corners and sank into the water.
