All around them was a cacophony of noise.
The young man called Huo Wa froze, staring blankly at the blackness hanging down within the Jambu Realm Space. It quickly took on substance, transforming into a strange bird with fiery red feathers. It looked like an owl, but had a human face.
After breaking free of the Jambu Realm Space, it spread its wings, immediately kicking up a wave of heat.
Wherever the heat wave passed, the trees across the earth ignited like torches, burning one after another.
In the blink of an eye, a sea of fire had appeared in the wilderness outside the camp.
Amid the surging flames, the strange bird shrieked. After circling once in the sky, it flew toward the camp.
"Run, Huo Wa!"
The middle-aged man with the missing front tooth suddenly yanked Huo Wa along, dragging him into a run. Every so often, he looked back and saw the strange bird rapidly growing larger in his field of vision.
"It's over, it's over! We've only got two legs. How can we outrun something with wings?"
"Damn it! I'm not willing to die! I haven't even slept with a woman yet!"
"And now we're going to be offered as lantern fuel. Heaven, are you blind?"

The heat wave came roaring toward them.
Fire Stream rolled across the earth, chasing the strange bird overhead and laying out a red carpet across the wilderness.
Just as the strange bird was about to fly into the camp, the sound of a drum suddenly rang out
