In the Command Hall, everyone was stunned as they stared at the severed hand left behind by Zhujian.
They felt as if they had just woken from a nightmare.
It was only when Xu Tao's voice rang out that they came to their senses. "Hurry, find out where Zhujian is now."
As if awakening from a dream, everyone rushed back to their workstations and began operating the various instruments.
"Zhujian has passed through the northern district."
"It's already gone past the parking lot."
"Zhujian has left the base!"
A wave of cheers immediately erupted in the Command Hall.
Xu Tao also smiled and said, "Get me the footage outside the base, now!"
Just then, the automatic doors of the Command Hall opened, and Wang Chong walked in while clutching his left shoulder.
"Supervisor Xu, are you all right?"
Xu Tao turned around. When he saw Wang Chong, a smile appeared on his face. "Captain Luo Yan arrived in time. I managed to hang on to my life."
Wang Chong nodded, then looked at Zhujian's arm in the hall and couldn't help clicking his tongue.
"Zhujian actually left an arm here. Was this Captain Luo's handiwork?"
Xu Tao smiled. "That's right."
Wang Chong gave a bitter smile. "It's truly embarrassing. We failed to stop Zhujian and nearly put all of you in danger."
Xu Tao shook his head. "Don't say that, Commander Wang. You did everything you could."
"We've got footage!"
A staff member's shout made Xu Tao and Wang Chong turn toward the screen in the hall.
On the screen, the Fire Dragon had rammed its way forward, its flames dimming as its fire weakened.
Zhujian took the opportunity to knock it aside. The Fire Dragon crashed into the mountain wall of the valley, triggering a violent explosion.
