The jeep stopped in the square, and Luo Yan opened the door and got out.

Bai Qixue jumped out of the vehicle and stretched. "If I had to sit for another day, I'd have fallen apart."
She then peered cautiously into the vehicle, looking toward Bai Qixue.
Bai Qixue got out with Mister Pruhler. The two remained silent before going their separate ways.
At that moment, a messenger hurried over. "Captain Bai, Colonel Luo, and Mister Pruhler, Commander Zhao requests your presence."
Although Bai Qixue was not mentioned, Luo Yan still brought her along to the Command Hall.
Zhao Chu was speaking with Shi Beiluo and several other captains. His expression was grave. When he saw Luo Yan, the commander turned around.
"Thanks for your effort."
Luo Yan stepped forward. "Our operation failed."
Zhao Chu nodded to indicate that he already knew. Then he gestured and said, "Take a look at this first."
He looked toward the large screen.
The others followed his gaze. The screen showed an abandoned city on the surface. Only half of the Statue of Liberty remained in the frame, identifying the city.
Clearly, this was the surface city where Freedom City was located.
High above the city, in the star-studded night sky, streaks of Black Light Rays suddenly twisted and wound through the air. They converged from all directions, forming an irregular black plane beneath the night sky.
The plane then continued to expand. As it did, a door gradually emerged within it.
The great door had an ancient design. A complex and profound symbol was engraved upon its two opening panels.
Once the door had fully manifested, it swung open. Three masses of black shadow immediately burst out from within.
They passed through the Jambudvipa Rift, unfolded into
