Manager Chen climbed to his feet irritably. Just then, he heard something being knocked over, so he found the power switch.
With a snap, the lights in the lobby came on. Manager Chen walked out of the corridor, only to see that the lobby's glass doors had been smashed.
Seven or eight people had already entered the lobby, while another dozen or twenty were squeezing their way in from outside.
Manager Chen immediately shouted, "Alai, why haven't you called the police? Get these vagrants under control!"
He pointed at the people and shouted, "Get out of here, now, or I'll call the police!"
At his shout, those people looked over. The nearest was a man in his early thirties. His hair was tangled and matted, his skin deathly pale, his nose crooked to one side, and the middle of his forehead sunken in.
Although he turned to look at Manager Chen, his gaze had no focus.

Manager Chen sucked in a cold breath and kept backing away. Just then, the man suddenly lunged at him.
A stench like that of a dead rat rushed into his nose, nearly making Manager Chen vomit up the food he had eaten the night before.
Paralyzed by fear, Manager Chen failed to react. Only after the man knocked him to the ground and bit into his shoulder did he let out a slaughtered-pig scream.

How could the security guard dare come out? He had already hidden inside the security room, shut the door, and crouched in the corner, praying frantically to every god and Buddha he could think of.
