Noon, Pompeii.
Richard arrived there and stood at the foot of a volcano, tilting his head slightly as he tried to take in the entire mountain.
This was Pompeii. He had come near this place before while out of his body, so it was not entirely unfamiliar. However, there were certain differences between the vision of his out-of-body state and that of his physical eyes. Now that he was seeing it with his physical body for the first time, it felt somewhat different. In addition, he noticed that Pompeii had changed greatly compared to what he had seen before, especially the mountainside and summit of the volcano before him. He did not know exactly what had happened there.
Long Mei Er stood beside Richard, dressed in a golden robe similar to the one he had worn before. He glanced at Richard, who was looking up at the volcano, and introduced the place with a smile. "Wizard Richard, this is Pompeii, the place I told you I would bring you to.
"The mountain you are looking at is called Vesuvius Dak Volcano. It is an extremely ancient volcano, yet it remains active to this day. You need not worry about it erupting, because we have already tamed her."
"Tamed?" Richard looked at Long Mei Er, unable to understand what he meant.
"Just like an animal, she has been tamed by us and now serves our organization wholeheartedly," Long Mei Er said. He did not elaborate, instead continuing, "The numerous buildings constructed upon her form Pompeii's central district. You can call it Pompeii Town. All right, there is not much point in saying more. Let me take you in for a closer look so you can experience it for yourself."
"This way." Long Mei Er waved toward the side
