A few seconds later, Long Mei Er closed his eyes, then opened them again, returning to his usual self.
He glanced at Wizard Inogaowa and said slowly, "My apologies, Wizard Inogaowa. I lost my composure."
As he spoke, he walked up to Inogova, reached out a hand, and pulled her to her feet. "Where is Qiekafu now? Take me to see him. I need to talk with him."
"Wheeze... gasp..."
A sound like a broken bellows came from Inogova's throat. She struggled to breathe for several seconds before finally feeling her strength return. Looking at Long Mei Er, she nodded without daring to hesitate. "Yes."
She stepped forward and led Long Mei Er away.
Ten or so minutes later.
Elsewhere in Pompeii Town, the door to an underground secret chamber was knocked upon.
