The sun rose over the horizon, releasing its first ray of golden light.
That ray was like a fine needle piercing a balloon, making the darkness rapidly shrink away. The brightening glow in the east gradually filled the entire world, like an advancing tide sweeping across the continent.
The radiance reached Pompeii Town halfway up Vesuvius Dak Volcano, officially heralding the arrival of a new day.
Three Wizards appeared on the streets of Pompeii Town, one tall and two short. The tall Wizard led the group forward in silence and at a brisk pace. A moment later, they stopped before a building—Pompeii Town, District No. 12, Residence No. 1248.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The door was pounded heavily.
More than ten seconds later, with a creak, Richard opened the door from inside and saw three unfamiliar Truth Society Wizards standing outside.
They were only around Level 1 Wizards and did not appear particularly hostile, wearing businesslike expressions. The tall Male Wizard at the front spoke to confirm, "Wizard Richard, correct?"
"Yes." Richard did not deny it.
"Good." The Male Wizard nodded. "Sorry to disturb you. We were sent by order of Long Mei Er Supervisor to invite you. He wishes to meet with you for an important discussion. Do you have time now?"
Richard raised an eyebrow slightly and asked, "Where does the Supervisor want me to go?"
"Just come with us. We'll take you to the Supervisor."
"All right, lead the way." Richard had long expected this and made preparations, so he did not hesitate much before agreeing.
"Good." The tall Wizard visibly relaxed, turned around, and led his companions toward the center of Pompeii Town.
Richard followed. As he walked, he glanced in the direction outside Pompeii, but did not see the people Oscar had sent as reinforcements.
