Extraordinary Factor.
Extraordinary! Factor! If the existence of Extraordinary Factors could be accepted, then many things could be clearly explained.
Richard stood in the room, slowly organizing his thoughts as his eyes brightened.
For now, it could theoretically be assumed that, because of Astral Projection or some other reason, Extraordinary Factors existed within all basic matter in the current world—atoms.
In lighter atoms, such as hydrogen, carbon, and oxygen atoms, the atomic nuclei were too stable, making Extraordinary Factors difficult to extract. That was why most things in the current world were no different from Earth.
People here had two eyes, and fish here lived in water. People here grew hungry if they did not eat, fainted from excessive blood loss, and were highly likely to die without treatment. If they encountered a barber moonlighting as a surgeon, death was guaranteed.
In short, within the realm of lighter atoms, Extraordinary Factors could not easily exert their effects, and the current world was a replica of Earth.
However, things were slightly different in the realm of heavier atoms.
The heavier an atom was, the more unstable it tended to become. Heavy elements like Uranium-235 could undergo spontaneous fission. During the sustained chain reaction of a nuclear explosion, the Extraordinary Factors they contained could be released alongside it.
As a result, nuclear explosions were more powerful and produced things such as Magical Electromagnetic Pulses.
For the current world, this had little impact for the time being. After all, aside from him, no one else in this world knew how to make Atomic Bombs.
So if things developed normally, perhaps only after the current world advanced for several thousand more years and conquered nuclear technology would some interesting developments emerge—for example, mortals finally gaining weapons capable of fighting Wizards and changing the course
