"Tap, tap, tap..."
Richard's footsteps echoed through the cavern as he continued onward.
I hope no more blind guardian creatures come crashing into me. It would be better for both of us... Richard thought as he walked over a hundred meters.
"Roar!"
A tremendous roar erupted from the darkness. The air churned, the ground trembled, and a gigantic black shadow several meters tall came charging at him.
Clearly, blind guardian creatures were everywhere, and there were especially many in this tomb.
Richard's brows rose, and the scarlet glow in his eyes for night vision intensified, allowing him to see the creature clearly.
It was a beetle-like creature three meters tall and six or seven meters long, covered in a gray shell. It had a triangular head and kept making noises with its open mouth.
A faint stench accompanied the sound.
After looking it over, Richard could not help sighing. However, his hands did not slow in the slightest. He directly released dozens of Blood Spears, then activated and fired dozens of miniature Mental Spell tracking missiles.
"Boom, boom, boom!"
The Blood Spears and miniature Mental Spell tracking missiles struck the beetle's body and exploded one after another, flashing with uninterrupted blue light and blood-red light.
"Hiss!"
The beetle seemed to be injured and let out a pained cry, but it did not stop or even slow down. It continued charging at high speed.
Richard's eyes widened slightly in surprise. He let out a soft "Huh," confirming that this third type of guardian creature was stronger than either of the previous two. With a wave of his hand, dozens more Blood Spears and miniature Mental Spell tracking missiles flew out, striking the beetle's body and exploding.
"Hisss!"
The beetle let out an exceptionally miserable cry, filled with both pain and fury.
