Richard was in Circe's study, looking through several books. Circe and her two students—Nellide and Hai Di—were doing the same.
Before this, he had copied down some of the writing from Barta's limited records and given it to Circe, asking whether she could decipher it and how difficult it would be. Circe had not given a definite answer, only telling him that she had never seen this script before and would need to consult some of her collection before she could be sure. Thus, the four of them began searching through books together.
"Rustle, rustle..."
The entire study was quiet, with only the constant sound of turning pages.
As Richard flipped through the pages, his brow suddenly rose. He sensed something, reached into his clothes, and pulled out a Crystal Ball. It was flashing with a regular blood-red glow.
He quickly deciphered the message. It was from Annie, reporting that the forest where Tinwood was located was in grave danger and needed his immediate support.
This! He froze slightly, his expression turning grave. The sudden plea for help truly caught him by surprise, but not going was out of the question. After all, he still wanted to keep squeezing Tinwood for purified core materials.
Circe noticed something was amiss and put down the book she was reading. Looking over, she guessed that something bad might have happened and asked calmly, "Something happened?"
"Mm." Richard nodded. "I may need to leave and deal with it."
"Don't worry. Go." Circe was very understanding. "By my estimate, determining the difficulty of deciphering your script won't happen in a short time anyway. After you leave, I can slowly search through the materials with Nellide and Hai Di. Once we have results, I'll have Hai Di notify you, and
