Richard shook his head inwardly, believing the guess did not match reality.
It was not that Soren could not have thought of this. Rather, even if he had, the outcome would be difficult to control, and he would not truly choose to do it.
The Sika Kingdom was, after all, a major power, and its internal situation was extremely complicated. Especially when facing a formidable enemy and the possibility of national ruin, anything could happen. Things might get worse, but they might also unite against the outside. If it was the latter, such a long delay would surely give them a chance to catch their breath, changing a war that should have been won.
And that was absolutely not what Soren wanted.
So what exactly was going on? As Richard pondered this question, one of his subordinates reported that someone else had come to visit him. Unlike the others, this person claimed to be his friend.
His friend?
With his doubts in mind, Richard met with the visitor and finally learned who it was.
They were Molly's subordinates.
One was Female Wizard Su, who walked with a limp. Richard remembered that she was highly skilled in Wind Spells. Though missing a leg, she could run faster than Wizards with both legs intact.
The other was One-Eye, who had only one eye. He specialized in Fire Spells and, just as before, wore his distinctive red robe. He was impossible to mistake for anyone else.
Richard received the two in the reception room. After briefly asking the purpose of their visit, they frankly told him without trying to hide anything: they wanted to win his support.
As the Blood Princess, Molly was currently a powerful rebel force within the Sika Kingdom. She desperately wanted to overthrow the current royal
