"Splash, splash!"
Bi Bi lay on the table, listening to the faint sounds Richard made as he prepared nearby.
Before long, Richard walked over carrying only an ordinary crystal ball and a metal rod as thick as a finger. There were no other tools—at Richard's current level of spellcraft, many procedures could be carried out entirely through energy alone, without any tools at all.
Richard walked over to Bi Bi, who was lying on the table, glanced at her, and asked one final time, "Are you ready?"
"Mm," Bi Bi replied.
Richard said no more. Holding the metal rod, he lightly tapped Bi Bi between the brows. Her whole body jerked as if she had been electrocuted, then relaxed completely.
"Relax. Try your best to relax..." As Richard spoke, he placed the crystal ball in his other hand against Bi Bi's forehead. Energy flowed into it, activating it. A dim blue glow emerged from within the crystal ball.
After more than ten seconds, the crystal ball grew brighter and brighter. Amid the radiance, it softened, changing from solid to liquid, before finally seeping into Bi Bi's body like water.
Bi Bi's eyes widened, and countless images flashed rapidly across her pupils.
Memories that had existed but been sealed away were all unlocked at that moment and poured into her mind at once.
Bi Bi's body trembled slightly. Liquid flowed from the corners of her mouth, her nostrils, and her ears. It was dim blue in color—the liquefied crystal ball that had seeped into her body earlier.
The liquid continued to drain for more than ten minutes. Once it had all been expelled, it re-formed into a sphere under Richard's control, then lost its blue hue and turned back into an unremarkable crystal ball.
