A young figure appeared, looking no more than twenty-something. His features were ordinary, but his eyes inspired a certain fear. They were remarkably bright, as though they could see through everything. Staring at them for too long, one could even sense a vortex deep within them, capable of sucking away a person's soul.
Even Molly, who had been a Level 4 Wizard for quite some time, quickly shifted her gaze after glancing at his eyes. She looked over the rest of him and noticed the glowing rope he held in his hand.
At the other end of the rope was a person struggling constantly.
"Lord Richard, you actually have time to come out on patrol?" Molly raised an eyebrow and asked. "Have you finished researching everything you wanted to research?"
"Heh." Richard chuckled. "It's impossible to finish researching everything. But the dozens of research teams under me are all operating beyond capacity. Once I've confirmed the line of thought, kept them on the right track, and resolved the bottlenecks, there's only so much more I can help with. So I came out for a walk, as a bit of rest.
"And during this walk, I happened to catch someone who had infiltrated us. He's quite strong, a genuine Level 4 Wizard. If we don't count the special spell tools and ancient spells the laboratory provides you, he's probably only slightly weaker than you."
"But you still caught him, didn't you?" Molly said. "So, have you figured out his identity?"
