The World Peace volume is finished.

To avoid any misunderstandings, I'd like to make something clear here: the Black Sun Project was not meant to destroy humanity or kill everyone. It was meant to change the world and usher it into a new era—an era led by Shalin, or rather, by Richard.

After all, given the current environment, I didn't want this book to be anti-humanity or overly negative. Otherwise, it might disappear one day without warning.

In short, Richard was not a madman. To him, killing people indiscriminately was a waste of resources. What he wanted was to make everyone obedient.

That was obviously difficult. First, there was the Truth Society's infiltration and obstruction. Second, he had killed the emperor and earned the hatred of countless people. To that end, he needed to fundamentally change certain things in the world. That was the meaning of the Black Sun Project.

The inspiration for the Black Sun Project came from nuclear winter. Of course, according to some of the latest scientific research, everyone knew that nuclear winter was, in a sense, untenable. Even if it did occur, things might return to normal within a few months instead of lasting decades.

Therefore, the nuclear weapons launched in the story were mixed with so-called "Black Sun" powder, increasing the amount of time the dust remained in the atmosphere and creating an otherworldly version of a brief nuclear winter lasting several years: the "Black Sun."

The Black Sun's primary effect was to drastically reduce sunlight, changing the ecology of the entire continent. The most immediate result would be food shortages and famine. In the Black Sun Project, the primary targets were the various food reserves across the Main Continent, and the importance of food had been specifically mentioned many times in the text.
