All right, as you can see, the "Brave New World" arc was, for now, finished.
How should I put it? This arc more or less achieved what I wanted to convey: setting off a brilliant fireworks display with an atomic bomb.
The atomic bomb was the core of this arc. From its discovery in the mine, to purification, assembly, and detonation, I did my best to make it all plausible and to let everyone feel that building an atomic bomb was not as easy as they might imagine. Only then did mastering this technology have meaning, and only then could people understand why the protagonist was special.
But the atomic bomb was only a starting point. The many things that branched out from it would truly make the protagonist powerful.
Of course, this arc clearly had many shortcomings as well. That was a matter of my own abilities—after all, my writing skill and experience were lacking. Compared to more seasoned authors, there was still a considerable gap, whether in handling the plot or shaping the characters. The more I wrote, the more keenly I recognized my own shortcomings.
I only hoped my writing career would last a little longer and would not be cut short halfway for one reason or another. Then I could keep learning, growing, and bringing everyone better stories.
I could only hope so.
All right, what I needed to do now was still work hard to bring everyone an even better fifth arc, "World Peace."
Good night, everyone!
