A Small Man's Ambition

Bobobo Wei Qi left Blue Lake Manor.

He had arrived with great fanfare, but returned in secret.

Silently vaulting over the academy gates, Bobobo Wei Qi landed lightly inside the grounds. He turned and tiptoed toward the attic, intending to change out of the clothes that had been shredded in battle first.

Just then, a head poked out from the stone building nearby.

Jessica, the freckled female apprentice, looked at the returning Bobobo Wei Qi and asked in surprise, "Teacher, you're back? You... why do you look like this? You didn't go get into a fight, did you?"

Bobobo Wei Qi stiffened. The next moment, the words blurted out of his mouth. "I won." Only after saying it did he realize something was wrong. He had answered too quickly, making him seem a little guilty.

Sure enough, Jessica looked doubtful.

Bobobo Wei Qi could only force out, "I really won. Really." The further he went, the quieter his voice became.

Fortunately, Jessica did not press the matter. She merely said, "All right. Actually, Teacher, I wanted to tell you that I saved your food for you. If you're hungry, you can eat whenever you want."
