Shande walked up to the half of the beehive Black Bear had left behind. A violent urge rose within him, and he desperately wanted to kick the hive away—never again in his life did he want to see anything related to beehives or black bears.
Just as he raised his foot, he changed his mind.
Shande slowly lowered his foot and pursed his lips. Then, he suddenly sat down beside the beehive. He picked it up, dipped his finger into the honey inside, and put it into his mouth.
He still could not taste any sweetness in the honey. All he could feel was a cool, viscous liquid flowing down his throat.
Yet as the honey entered his stomach, the agitation in his heart gradually subsided, turning into calm.
Shande kept eating the honey. Then, as if he had suddenly thought of something, a rare smile appeared on his face. He seemed to truly taste the honey's sweetness.
