The sun rose, and the second day arrived.
Early that morning, someone knocked on the gate of the courtyard Richard and Bobobo Wei Qi had rented temporarily.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Yaaawn!"
Bobobo Wei Qi let out a huge yawn, rubbed away the thick greasy discharge from his eye glands—eye gunk—and sleepily walked toward the gate.
As he walked, he complained, "Who is it, knocking this early in the morning?"
After finally reaching the courtyard gate, Bobobo Wei Qi pulled it open with a creak and saw a carriage parked on the road outside. A young deliveryman stood at the entrance. He wore the uniform of the tavern where Bobobo Wei Qi often ordered meals and carried a heavy food box in his hand.
"What's this?" Bobobo Wei Qi froze.
The young deliveryman spoke as he handed the food box to Bobobo Wei Qi. "Sir, have you forgotten? You reserved breakfast from our tavern yesterday for today, so I brought it to you. Please enjoy it at your leisure. Once you're finished, you can return the food box when you have time, or wait a few days for us to come collect it. All right, I won't disturb you any longer. I'll be leaving now—I still have food to deliver to several other customers."
After saying that, the young deliveryman gave a polite bow, turned and jumped onto the carriage, then drove away like the wind, vanishing at the end of the street.
Bobobo Wei Qi watched the deliveryman leave, lowered his head to look at the food box in his hands, and frowned slightly. He shut the courtyard gate and turned back toward the room.
Once inside, he placed the food box on the table and curiously opened the first tier. Inside were freshly baked cheese-filled buns.
