After killing the Evolved Spider, Yuesefu's crimson eyes slowly returned to normal. He pulled a handkerchief from his sleeve, carefully wiped the filth and blood from his body, then walked back to Richard and Bobobo Wei Qi, once again becoming the gentlemanly Yuesefu.
Yuesefu said apologetically, "I hadn't wanted to attack like that, but it was the only way to inflict the greatest damage on the Golden Spider. I must have made a spectacle of myself before you two."
"That's hardly a spectacle," Richard said. "Wizard Yuesefu, you've truly broadened our horizons.
"Exactly," Bobobo Wei Qi echoed.
"You flatter me," Yuesefu said. "But that attack just now consumed a great deal of energy, and I probably won't be able to act freely again for some time. So if we encounter trouble while exploring the ruins afterward, I'll have to rely entirely on you two—such as with what's appearing next..."
As he spoke, Yuesefu looked to one side.
Sure enough, there was movement in the darkness again. Amid hissing sounds, a third Evolved Spider crawled out. It was no longer alone. Perhaps having sensed the fate of its first two companions, it was followed by several dozen ordinary Demonized Spiders.
Bobobo Wei Qi's gaze sharpened at the sight. The side effects of using potions to enhance his strength had not completely passed yet. He could barely manage either a single Evolved Spider or several dozen Demonized Spiders on his own, but dealing with both together would be troublesome.
Richard saw it and raised an eyebrow slightly. He showed no fear as he said, "Then let me handle this one."
"Be careful," Yuesefu said. "This one is even harder to deal with than the previous two."
"Thanks for the warning," Richard said. "I will."
With that, he actively advanced to meet the
