Three days later, in the research room of Eden Garden's Mechanical Processing Sector.

Richard stood before the workbench, unable to hide the exhaustion on his face. Yet his gaze remained sharp as he stared fixedly at the five crystal balls arranged on the table.

He had personally made those five crystal balls. Compared to the one Yuesefu had given him, they were incredibly crude. First, they were more than twice as large, like the head of an ugly baby. Second, the arrangement of the magic patterns on them was a complete mess, as though they had been haphazardly pieced together.

But Richard showed no disdain as he looked at the five crystal balls. Instead, he solemnly reached out and pressed his hand against the leftmost one.

After injecting mana in a particular sequence, red, yellow, and blue light quickly appeared inside the leftmost crystal ball. It lingered for two seconds before slowly fading away.

At the very instant the light inside the leftmost crystal ball vanished, the other four crystal balls on the right buzzed, and red, yellow, and blue light appeared inside all of them at once—exactly the same colors. They lasted for two seconds, five seconds, ten seconds, and twenty seconds respectively before fading in sequence.

It worked! Seeing the result, Richard raised his brows, then his entire body relaxed.

Yes, it had worked!

After three days of nearly forgetting food and sleep, his research had finally achieved the breakthrough he had expected. He had made an initial crack in the Truth Society's Communication Crystal Balls.
