Charge Forward

As they headed out, Didak took huge strides at a rapid pace, practically turning three steps into two and two into one.

But after only a dozen or so steps, as he passed the counter, his legs went weak and his whole body crumpled toward the floor.

Bo Fei saw it and hurriedly struggled to support Didak with both hands, barely keeping him from falling.

Panting heavily, Bo Fei asked Didak, "Older Brother Didak, what's wrong? Are you sick?"

"You're the one who's sick!" Didak snapped. After catching his breath, he shook off Bo Fei's support and explained, "I've just been eating too little lately, so I'm starving and have no strength. I stood up too quickly and walked too fast, so I nearly fell by accident."

"Then can you still come with me to Thirteen Mine?" Bo Fei glanced at Didak worriedly. "If you can't walk, I can't carry you." Didak was practically twice Bo Fei's size; Bo Fei was not exaggerating.

Didak curled his lips. "Don't worry. I'll be fine after resting for a while. If I could eat something now, I'd recover even faster. Right!"

As he spoke, Didak seemed to remember something and turned toward the counter.

Behind the counter, a bartender had his back to them, diligently wiping down the shelves behind him. Didak called out, "Hey, Hua Wen, get me a fat chicken. Put it on my tab, and I'll have money to pay you back when I return tonight."

Hearing Didak, the bartender turned around, revealing a pockmarked face covered in acne. He frowned at Didak and said, "Who's Hua Wen? I'm Thomson."

Didak froze, his expression stiffening. He stared at the man for several seconds before asking in surprise, "Huh, you... you're called Thomson? Then... where's Hua Wen? Why isn't my friend
