"Too lazy. They're practically a bunch of corpses!"
Around the same time, during the day, a group of five or six Level 1 Wizards was walking through a dense forest. The tall, thin Wizard at the front kept complaining.
Glancing at his companions behind him, the tall, thin Wizard said loudly, "Look, this Barren Forest exploration mission was clearly assigned last month, yet it was only handed to us now.
"Honestly, I simply can't understand why the branch's efficiency is so low. Have they all been pumped full of highly concentrated Hallucinogenic Potion? At this rate, even if we complete the mission, who knows when the rewards will be issued? They might drag it out for half a year.
"Sigh, it's only because our branch is too remote and the people in charge are incompetent that things are like this. It would never happen elsewhere. I heard that the most hardworking manager in our organization was called Ji Bo Lun, while the most efficient one was called Muse. Right now, I'm just hoping to be transferred under one of those two managers, so I won't lack the motivation to work."
After hearing the tall, thin Wizard's words, a red-haired Female Wizard suddenly spoke. "Those two managers you mentioned are both dead, you know."
"Both dead? How is that possible?" The tall, thin Wizard froze.
"It's true," the red-haired Female Wizard said. "Apparently, an unknown change occurred on the East Coast. The two managers and all their subordinates died, and the organization still hasn't uncovered the truth. If you really want to become one of their subordinates, you can apply to visit the East Coast right now."
"Er..." The tall, thin Wizard's expression stiffened. He gave an awkward laugh. "Then forget it. Thinking about it, our branch isn't so bad either.
