"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh..."

The flames burned fiercely.

Aided by magic, the fire spread at an astonishing speed. In just a few dozen minutes, the pillar of fire that had ignited the forest had turned into a terrifying wildfire, spreading in all directions.

Viewed from above, an alarming black scar had already been burned into the forest near its center, and it was steadily expanding.

When the blackened area approached a rocky clearing in the forest, something strange happened.

"Roar, roar, roar!"

The roars of countless beasts rang out. Hundreds upon thousands of them appeared, as if under control, madly charging toward the edge of the blaze. Completely unafraid of the heat, they refused to retreat even as the scorching air singed their fur. With lowered heads and muffled growls, they clawed at the ground and gnawed at the unlit trees, trying to create a firebreak.

A Strong Wind arose and swept rapidly across the fire.

After burning for so long, the blaze had begun to weaken from a lack of oxygen. But when the Strong Wind blew through it, flooding it with fresh oxygen, the flames immediately surged. Driven by the wind, they erupted more than a hundred meters into the air.

In a single breath, the inferno leaped across the firebreak dozens of meters wide, sweeping the beasts into the blaze and advancing amid their cries of agony.

It advanced, advanced, and kept advancing.

"Roar, roar, roar!"

More beastly roars sounded. Another group of beasts, controlled and urgently dispatched, rushed over in an attempt to stop the fire.
