Modification Attempt

Richard entered Laboratory No. 2 and quickly adjusted the various devices. After a while, he solemnly pressed a red button.

The Laser Generator at the center buzzed and rapidly fired a highly concentrated laser beam, bombarding the material mixed with Uranium-235 and Uranium-238 directly ahead, causing the two isotopes to separate.

Richard observed the results and nodded in satisfaction after a moment. But he did not stop there. He turned and left Laboratory No. 2, heading for a more distant room to adjust other equipment—using the energy of the Ancient Tree Species Tinwood to purify Uranium-235 was far more complicated than it appeared on the surface.

"Click, click, clatter, clatter..."

Faint sounds continued to drift out.
