As Richard watched, Gao Wen spoke up, firmly making it clear to the waiter that he wanted no changes to his order.
"But... the main course..." The waiter hesitated, still hoping to persuade Gao Wen to try something else.
"No." Gao Wen stared at the waiter and emphasized the word.
"All right..." Under Gao Wen's displeased gaze, the waiter helplessly gave up on recommending dishes. Spreading his hands, he said, "Then please find a seat, sir. Once the kitchen has finished preparing it, I'll bring it over right away."
"Mm. Better make it quick." Gao Wen left those words behind, turned away from the bar, and narrowed his eyes as he swept his gaze around the hall in search of a suitable seat. In the end, his eyes settled on a corner far from the center, though it was not too far from Richard.
