Ch. 613Chaotic Battlefield

Richard decided to help the people trapped in the chaotic battle and set out with Hai Di to find her teacher and senior sister. After rescuing Gelo and locating Nancy, he saw her struck by a streak of black light just as she was about to defeat a Black-Robed Man.

  • Richard used Dark Vision and Gaze of the Eye, then took Hai Di to search for her senior sister, Nellide.
  • Richard killed a Black-Robed Man with an exploding White Jade Shard and rescued the injured Gelo.

  • Richard reassured Gelo, Nancy, Hai Di, Nellide, and Teddy that the Spell Gun was not the time to discuss, then recognized the rescued Wizard Typhon.
  • Typhon explained that the Magic Breaking Pearl had injured him and that an earlier breakout attempt had cost nearly half their group.
  • Typhon warned Richard that the enemy grew stronger farther out, while Gelo, Nancy, Hai Di, and Nellide urged Richard to escape without them.

Ch. 617Tu Ke Enters the Fray

Tu Ke watched a young man disrupt the encirclement and wipe out the Third and Ninth Squads, causing the Wizards in the Core Area to break through. He accepted that the battle was lost and led several squads to eliminate the young man.

  • Tu Ke spotted a young man attacking his subordinates in the southwestern corner and sent the Third Squad to stop him.
  • The young man wiped out the Third Squad, so Tu Ke ordered the Ninth Squad to attack despite its role in the Core Area.
  • The Ninth Squad was also wiped out, and the Wizards in the Core Area seized the opening to break through.
  • Tu Ke told Fu Erlin to let the Wizards escape as the battlefield could no longer be controlled, and ordered several squads to inflict damage without overcommitting.
  • Tu Ke personally led the Seventh, Eighth, Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth Squads into battle to eliminate the young man.

Ch. 618This Man Had to Die

Richard fought through the Black-Robed Men to give Gelo and the others time to escape, then tried to leave himself. Tu Ke and a stronger force cornered him, but Richard opened a gap in their encirclement and escaped, leaving Tu Ke determined to kill him.

  • Richard used Spell Salt and the Spell Gun to hold off the Black-Robed Men while Gelo and the others escaped.
  • Richard flew toward the edge of the battlefield, but powerful Black-Robed Men appeared and formed a new encirclement around him.
  • Tu Ke arrived and ordered the Wizards to attack Richard after Richard detonated Spell Salt in front of him.

Ch. 619Evil God's Power

Richard was pursued by Tu Ke and the Black Robe Wizards, who drove him into an encirclement. With his Fourth Form Shield failing, he used Blood of the Gods (Intermediate): Evil God's Power to break through the attackers and resume his escape.

  • Tu Ke ordered his subordinates to chase Richard and warned them of the punishment they would face if they failed.
  • Richard's pursuers were injured by buried magic pattern explosives, so Tu Ke split his forces to flank him while tracking his aura.
  • Tu Ke caught up and held Richard in place with dark purple flames until the Black Robe Wizards surrounded him and unleashed a barrage.
  • Richard's Fourth Form Shield weakened under the attacks, so he crushed the potion vial and inhaled Evil God's Power.

Ch. 620Final Battle in the Sea of Death

Richard, badly injured and unable to shake the Black Robe Wizards pursuing him, fled into Taklamakan Lake, also known as the Sea of Death. After two pursuers entered the water and were killed, Tu Ke ordered the lake sealed off and requested reinforcements from Deep Blue Fort.

  • Richard considered using Death Finger and Pneumonia Fungus spores against his pursuers but decided neither was suitable.
  • Richard realized Taklamakan Lake might help him escape and changed direction toward it.
  • Tu Ke ordered his squads to close in on Richard and attack him as they chased him toward the lake.
  • Richard dodged bone spurs, leaped over a hill, and plunged into Taklamakan Lake.
  • Two Wizards from Seventh Squad entered the lake, and their bloodied remains soon surfaced among the fish.
  • Tu Ke dismissed Richard’s move as a desperate trick, ordered his people to seal off the lake, and told Fu Erlin to request reinforcements from Deep Blue Fort.

Ch. 621Glimpse of the God of Death, the World of the Dead Descends!

Richard burst an enormous bubble at the bottom of Taklamakan Lake, triggering a strange phenomenon that killed Tu Ke and his Black Robe Wizards. The lake churned with bubbles and the shore fell silent, while the cause of the deaths remained unexplained.

  • Tu Ke gathered several dozen Black Robe Wizards around the lake and prepared to send them in to capture Richard.
  • Richard noticed an enormous bubble at the lakebed that resembled the legendary God of Death’s eye, then blasted it with the One-Hit Kill Staff until it burst.
  • The lake began churning with countless bubbles, turning its surface white, while cold wind blew outward from its center.
  • Tu Ke dismissed the idea that Richard had caused the disturbance, but his subordinates began collapsing with no visible sign of poison or attack.
  • Tu Ke unleashed Transformation Magic but also fell unconscious, and the entire lakeshore became eerily silent.
