After their earlier test, Yuko figured her baseline physical abilities and the white-haired woman's were probably the same. Their abilities might differ in strength, though.
But the white-haired woman had agreed to settle things through pure hand-to-hand combat. That made up for any disadvantage in abilities, so Yuko wouldn't have to go looking for a powerful Hollow to bolster herself.

"You can't judge every Zanpakuto by the same standard." Yuko let out a long sigh. "If it were your Zanpakuto, the odds would be one to nine. Mine would smash hers nine to the nth power times in a single second."

She wasn't actually angry. Turning back, she asked, "Shinji, what does 'to the nth power' mean?"
Shinji broke into a sweat. Asking him wouldn't help. He'd only spent a couple of days in school, and he'd daydreamed through both of them. How was he supposed to know?
"She and I agreed that I'd win her over with strength." Yuko looked around the group. "So I hope you'll help me get used to intense combat."
