Disappearance

Late at night.

Dark Clouds obscured the moon, and the entire Uchiha Clan Land lay in Silence.

It seemed like any other ordinary day, with no visible ripples on the surface.

But beneath the shadows, the core members of the Uchiha Clan were each sitting in their own rooms.

Today was the day the entire clan would be transferred. Their task was to comfort the elderly, the weak, women, and children who knew nothing of the move as soon as they arrived.

Under the Dim Yellow lamplight, Uchiha Tarou and Uchiha Fugaku sat facing each other, their expressions slightly tense.

For the Uchiha Clan, tonight's plan concerned their very survival.

Although they trusted Uchiha Yuzuru without reservation, transferring every clan member in an instant was still far too unbelievable.

All preparations had now been completed. The arrow was on the string; they could only hope everything went smoothly on Yuzuru's end.

As time passed, Uchiha Fugaku began to lose his composure.

Uchiha Tarou coughed several times before slowly saying, "Fugaku, we have to believe in Yuzuru."

The room returned to Silence, broken only by the occasional crackle of the oil lamp's wick.

Suddenly, Uchiha Fugaku felt as if a faint breeze had brushed past him.

When he came back to his senses, he was shocked to discover that he was sitting in an unfamiliar wilderness.

"F-Father..."

Uchiha Fugaku's eyes were filled with undisguised shock.

Yuzuru had actually done it!

He had not noticed anything unusual at all. In the blink of an eye, he had arrived in a completely unfamiliar place.

Only after hearing Uchiha Fugaku call out did Uchiha Tarou come back to his senses.

He too surveyed the surroundings in disbelief before saying excitedly, "Fugaku, Yuzuru succeeded. This should be within the Land of Fields."

"Quick! Gather all the clan members according to the plan we made earlier!"

Hearing the faint commotion in the distance, Uchiha Fugaku immediately rose to his feet. "Yes!"

Uchiha Yuzuru opened his eyes and sighed in relief.

Looking at the Transfer Scroll in his hand, now reduced to ashes, Uchiha Yuzuru slowly stood up.

From the corner of the room, a girl with Red long hair ran out.

"Yuzuru, did you come to take me away?"

Seeing Kushina Uzumaki's expectant gaze, Uchiha Yuzuru smiled and nodded. "That's right. After tonight, you won't have to keep being watched by those annoying stinky bugs anymore."

"Mm!" Kushina Uzumaki nodded vigorously, then asked curiously, "Yuzuru, how are we getting out?"

"Grandma Mito set up a barrier in this room at my request, but if we leave it, those Anbu will definitely notice."

The Anbu ninjas scattered in all directions.

Before long, Hatake Sakumo's heart sank to the bottom.

They had really disappeared.

Every single Uchiha clan member had vanished cleanly overnight.

And it had happened right under his nose, without anyone noticing...

How had they done it?!

Hatake Sakumo could not figure it out, nor did he have time to.

He had to report this news to the Third Hokage immediately.

Smoke filled the air.

Hiruzen Sarutobi puffed on his pipe as he lowered his head to deal with the documents on his desk.

Suddenly, the office door was flung open with a loud bang.

Without even looking up, Hiruzen Sarutobi rebuked, "Danzo, how many times have I told you? Knock before coming in!"

"Hokage-sama, something terrible has happened!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi looked up in surprise and discovered that it was not his old friend who had barged in, but Hatake Sakumo.

Seeing the faint panic on Hatake Sakumo's face, Hiruzen Sarutobi felt a sense of foreboding rise within him.

What could have happened to make the battle-hardened, calm, and composed head of the Anbu before him show such an expression?
