Thirty years before the main story, Buddha Tower Country sought Great Xia’s assistance in building defensive works and military factories. The relationship eventually ended badly, while Great Xia secretly acquired Blood Sea Divine Cult scriptures and the Blood River God Annihilation Array from cult branches destroyed within Buddha Tower Country. 199

Following the descent of Immortal Light, demon beasts occupied extensive territory across the world, including Great Xia. The country concentrated much of its elite strength in the north, leaving many southern cities fallen or vulnerable. 589 590

Great Xia later shifted from defense to a major reclamation campaign, publicly announcing that it would retake lost territory occupied by demon beasts. The announcement was treated as a global turning point. 589

Its internal politics became unstable when Premier Ye Cangbai clashed with Jiang Chuan and the Azure Martial King. Ye was later exposed as having allied with demon immortals in the name of preserving Great Xia’s stability against returning ancient immortals. 682 683 789
