I had always felt that only by writing a final note could this book truly come to an end.
As I wrote these final thoughts, my feelings were still rather complicated. This book had been written continuously for nearly two years—longer than I had expected.
During the process of writing this book, aside from those few days when an accident occurred, I had maintained regular updates throughout. Now that it was finished, to be honest, it felt a little unfamiliar.
The results when this book had first gone premium were somewhat disappointing. I had originally planned to compress the main storyline and finish it at one million characters, but unexpectedly, the results kept getting better the more I wrote, so I kept writing until now.
The book's performance did not grow quickly in its later stages, but it had still been trending upward. It was not far from Premium status either. I had originally hoped to earn the Premium badge while it was still being serialized, but now I could only wait to receive it after completion!
If no accident had happened midway, it should have ended at three million characters according to the original plan. However, my energy was still affected later on, so I compressed the pace somewhat and could only finish at around 2.7 million characters. (Nothing was missing from the main storyline.) I still failed to achieve my goal of writing a three-million-character book, so I could only continue working toward that goal with the next one.
This book was a "lying low" story. The protagonist lay low from beginning to end, and his character setting remained consistent throughout, but I did not maintain the sense of catharsis well enough. On top of that, there were quite a few writing issues mixed in along the way,
