"Eek eek..."
The tiny Shadow Mouse hid among the snow-white strands of hair and recounted what had just happened to Moss.
"Oh?... It was almost discovered?"
Moss chuckled and nodded, a sharp glint flashing through her narrowed eyes.
"Those eyes really must be some kind of Unique Skill."
"She only shifted her feet, yet she sensed the faint Mana Essence fluctuations in the air. Her perception is truly incredible."
"Eek eek..."
A hint of fear colored the Shadow Mouse's voice, and its body began to tremble slightly.
"Ah, you don't need to apologize. You weren't caught, were you?"
Moss smiled and shook her head. The expression on her face returned to normal as she spoke softly:
"Once we get back, you'll have to work hard on your cultivation."
"Eek eek..."
With a thought from Moss, the Shadow Mouse hidden in her hair vanished in an instant as she recalled it into her space.
Without making a sound, she casually scattered even the faint ripples of Mana Essence.
She lowered the hand propping up the window and turned to look at the empty corridor. A smile appeared on her face as she murmured:
"Someone's coming..."
Sure enough, within just a few seconds, several figures appeared around the corner.
They were Miss Novi and Mr. Axio, along with a group of soldiers pushing meal carts.
An astonished look immediately appeared on Moss's face. She left the window and took a few steps toward them before asking:
"Captain Novi, is there... something else?"
"Ah, it's nothing. I just remembered that there are a few things I still need to explain to you."
Novi smiled and slowly walked up to Moss, speaking in a gentle tone.
Yet a faint glimmer shone in those rainbow-colored eyes, as though she wanted to see straight through Moss.
