Ch. 121Refield

Anlia and Lina’s group rushed to support the army as Fire Coyotes attacked the soldiers and the carriage carrying Anis and Juli. A Fire Coyote broke into the carriage, but someone killed it with a short sword as a powerful gale swept toward the battle.

  • Anlia learned that the army was under attack and led the group to support it, while Lina used Gale Blessing to speed everyone along.
  • Anis comforted Juli inside their carriage as Fire Coyotes surrounded the soldiers and he regretted bringing his sister into danger.
  • A Fire Coyote broke through the defenses and attacked the carriage, setting it ablaze as Anis tried to protect Juli.
  • A short sword killed the Fire Coyote, and a voice from the distance shouted, “Vortex Gale—erupt!”

Ch. 122Danger Escalation

The Featherwing Adventurer Group joined the Silver Rank knights in fighting the Fire Coyote pack, but Moss sensed another horde approaching from the Luya Plain. Lina confirmed the danger and sent the team’s emergency signal, calling for a retreat and guild support.

  • The Silver Rank knights saw Anlia and the two ladies safe, then resumed fighting as Winsa, Lize, Lina, and Anlia attacked the Fire Coyotes.
  • Lina and Moss endured the pack’s Gold-grade attacks while Moss sensed a large group approaching from the Luya Plain.
  • Lina spotted several hundred monsters in the distance and realized they faced a possible World Gate outbreak.
  • Lina launched three fireballs as the team’s emergency signal, prompting Anlia and the others to prepare to retreat and request guild support.

Ch. 123Predicament and Intervention

Anlia crushed her emergency badge as the Featherwing Adventurer Group faced a growing monster horde, and Moss began secretly helping Lina and the others fight. The chapter ended as Moss walked straight into an oncoming fireball to protect Lina.

  • Anlia crushed her badge, prompting Luna to receive the guild's emergency alert and rush upstairs.
  • Lize and Winsa fought the Fire Coyotes while Lina's signal warned them that a second monster horde was approaching.
  • Lize and Winsa cut down more than a dozen Fire Coyotes, while Lina struggled to defeat the Wolf King before the new horde arrived.
  • Anlia rejoined Lina and Moss, but the Wolf King remained protected by the surrounding Fire Coyotes.
  • Moss used water against the wolves, giving Lina an idea before Lina became distracted by the attack.
  • Anlia warned Lina about an incoming fireball, and Moss walked into its path as it struck.

Ch. 124I'm Done Pretending—I'll Lay It All Bare!

Moss revealed her Ancestral Form to save Lina from the Wolf King's flames, then charged into the Fire Coyote pack to protect the retreating army. She left everyone stunned after using a powerful water technique to destroy the wolves' fireballs.

  • Moss enclosed Lina and herself in a sphere of water, shielding them from the Wolf King's flames.
  • Lina recognized Moss as a Totem Warrior and reconsidered her understanding of strength as Moss dispersed the surrounding fire.
  • Moss admitted she had hidden her strength and told Lina and Anlia to prepare the army to withdraw while she faced the Wolf King.
  • Moss charged into the Fire Coyote pack, drawing the wolves and their fireballs toward her.
  • Moss used Empty Water Style: Flowing Light Swarm Strike Water to destroy the incoming fireballs, leaving the onlookers amazed at her power.

Ch. 125Easy Massacre

Moss massacred the Fire Coyote pack and killed its Gold-grade Wolf King, then returned to Anlia and Lina after saving them. The fleeing coyotes left Moss’s mice to search for the fallen magic cores.

  • Anis watched Moss’s overwhelming speed and strength and wondered who she was.
  • Moss charged into the Fire Coyotes, killing dozens with her water technique and rapid blade-like kicks.
  • The Wolf King attacked Moss, but she used a 100x Gravity Stack to crush it and took its magic core.
  • The surviving Fire Coyotes fled, and Moss sent mice to collect the magic cores before washing off the blood.
  • Moss returned to Anlia and Lina, who embraced her and thanked her for saving them.

Ch. 126Badge

Anlia reported that monsters were moving toward Hill City and Hill Forest, raising fears that Hill City’s weak defenses would be overwhelmed. Anis thanked Anlia and Lina, learned they belonged to ducal branch families and saw Anlia’s secret badge, before a lookout announced General Angsa’s return.

  • Anlia tracked Rock Lizards and other monsters approaching from the Luya Plain and concluded that the disturbance lay farther away than Lina had guessed.
  • Anlia warned Anis that the plain’s monsters were heading toward Hill City and Hill Forest, and Anis worried his family could not send reinforcements in time.
  • Anis thanked Anlia for saving him and Juli, while Anlia felt responsible for the army’s dangerous detours.
  • Lina revealed that she belonged to a branch of Duke Infister’s family, and Anlia said she belonged to a branch of Duke Hlaesun’s family.
  • Anlia showed Anis a badge identifying their group with Three Flowers Ten Stars, and Anis suppressed his urge to ask about the secret force.
  • A lookout reported that General Angsa had returned.

Ch. 127Continue Forward

Moss recovered from fighting the wolves and spoke with Juli, the younger sister of Viscount Anis, while the travelers prepared to leave the woods. General Angsa regrouped with Anis, and the Featherwing Adventurer Group split from his party to continue toward Nange Village.

  • Moss reflected on her use of the Black Crystal Mist and Sorcery Fist before Juli climbed onto the carriage roof and asked her name.
  • Moss told Juli to call her Molly, then persuaded her that Anis needed to train harder because he slept too much.
  • A knight announced General Angsa's return, and the group prepared to depart the woods.
  • Angsa thanked Anlia's Featherwing Adventurer Group for helping Anis and warned that monsters were increasing nearby.
  • Anlia gave Anis a map and asked him to report the monster attack to the Adventurer's Guild.
  • Anis and Angsa set off for Hill City while Anlia's group continued toward Nange Village.

Ch. 128Trap

As the Featherwing Adventurer Group traveled toward Nange Village, Moss helped them avoid monsters, delaying their journey until they stopped for the night. Anlia taught Moss how she prepared the campsite with warning lines, repellent powder, and bell-rope traps, then led her to find Lina.

  • Moss told Anlia she had sensed no monsters nearby, and Anlia decided the group would rest before continuing toward Nange Village.
  • Anlia and Lina went to set traps, and Anlia asked Moss to accompany her into the woods.
  • Moss sensed the nearly transparent Shadow Spider threads Anlia had placed, and Anlia explained how the alarm lines, Beast Repellent Powder, and Bell Rope guarded the campsite.
  • Anlia demonstrated how Bell Rope could lash out when triggered and warned Moss that wilderness campsites might contain dangerous traps.
  • Anlia reset the Bell Rope and led Moss toward Lina, who was drawing circles on the ground with her staff.

Ch. 129Arrayology

Lina explained Magic Traps and Arrayology to Moss, then demonstrated how a simple flame array worked. Moss became interested in learning arrays and gained the Magic Script and Array Composition talents.

  • Lina finished drawing a Magic Trap array while Anlia activated hundreds of arrays nearby.
  • Anlia led Moss to Lina and explained that the arrays were Magic Traps before going to plant the team banner.
  • Lina described common trap arrays and explained how the Adventurer's Guild Territory Banner protected the area around it.
  • Moss asked Lina to teach her array drawing, and Lina showed her the Three Sources structure and its inscriptions.
  • Lina activated a basic flame array, and Moss gained the Magic Script and Array Composition talents.

Ch. 130Spells and the Source Zone

Lina taught Moss how incantations and Source Zones shaped magic arrays, then recalled an enormous elven array that had sealed most of a World Gate five hundred years earlier. Moss asked Lina to teach her more, and the group left after Lina subtly adjusted their trap.

  • Lina explained the basic Three Sources framework and how incantations combined to determine an array’s functions.
  • Lina described the Six and Nine Sources frameworks and the three concept incantations proposed by the elven sage Farulu.
  • Lina recalled how dozens of Arrayology Grandmasters and two hundred thousand mages had used a 375-Source array to banish most of a World Gate five hundred years earlier.
  • Moss asked Lina to teach her more incantations, and Lina agreed to teach her when they returned.
  • Anlia called Moss and Lina back, and Lina tapped the ground to adjust the trap before the three of them left.

Ch. 131Camping and an Ambush

Winsa, Lize, Anlia, Lina, and Moss camped for the night and shared dinner before taking turns on watch. Moss sensed a threat approaching from the south, and the chapter ended as a violent earthquake struck and the group saw a Diamond Golem.

  • Winsa finished setting up the tents while Lize cooked dinner, and Anlia, Lina, and Moss returned from training.
  • The group ate together, and Moss quietly reflected that she did not belong with the harmonious team.
  • During the second half of the night watch, Winsa brought Moss hot tea, and Anlia reported that the surrounding traps were undisturbed.
  • Moss sensed a presence from the south and warned Anlia to look out.
  • The ground split and shook violently, the tents collapsed, and Lina and Lize emerged to see a Diamond Golem.

Ch. 132Escape

The Featherwing Adventurer Group escaped the Diamond Golem’s first attack, but Moss warned that monsters were approaching from Hill City, forcing them to take a dangerous detour toward Nange Village. As the golem caught up with their carriage, it transformed its arm into a cannon and unleashed Rock Barrage.

  • Moss shielded the group from the Diamond Golem’s attack with water, then carried them away as the golem pursued.
  • After the group regrouped, Anlia ordered them to flee toward Hill City, but Moss warned that a huge number of monsters were approaching from that direction.
  • Anlia chose a route through Nange Village, Deep Rock Canyon, and Hill Forest, and secretly sent a distress signal.
  • Lize spotted the Diamond Golem catching up, and Anlia recognized that it was preparing its Rock Barrage.
  • The Diamond Golem fired its attack as the carriage fled.

Ch. 133Morning

Anlia, Lina, Lize, and Moss fought off a golem that attacked their carriage in the night. As morning arrived, the group survived the attack, while Anlia mourned the loss of her expensive magical bolt and demanded Lina repay her.

  • Anlia spotted a boulder flying toward the carriage, and Lina and Moss combined fire and water magic to shatter it.
  • A thirty-meter golem emerged from the flames, so Lina sped up the carriage while Moss slowed the golem with gravity magic.
  • Anlia fired a costly impact bolt that sent the golem flying away from the carriage.
  • Anlia lamented the loss of her three-hundred-gold bolt, then grabbed Lina and demanded she share the cost.
  • Moss noticed the sky growing bright as Anlia and Lina argued inside the carriage.

Ch. 134Hobbies and Pursuits

Moss and Anlia escaped the Diamond Golem by trapping it in a pit, and Anlia explained how her love of finding Magic Items led her to become a scout. As the group stopped for breakfast near Nange Village, Moss realized the golem was not the source of the massive vibration she had sensed the previous night; something much larger lay deeper in the Nanxi Hill Rock Mountain Range.

  • Anlia rejoined the carriage after shaking off the Diamond Golem and said she had prepared a trap for it.
  • Anlia stopped the carriage before the mountaintop, and she and Moss saw the Diamond Golem trapped with its feet in two pits.
  • Anlia revealed that her Permanent Magic Item, the Pitfall Trap Rod, had dug the pits, and she told Moss that her love of finding treasures had led her to become a scout.
  • Winsa called Moss and Anlia down for breakfast, and Anlia hurried back to the carriage.
  • Moss sensed that the Diamond Golem was not responsible for the previous night's vibration and looked toward the deeper Nanxi Hill Rock Mountain Range.

Ch. 135Huge Footprints

Anlia and her companions investigated why monsters were avoiding Nange Village, only to discover the village had been destroyed and a gigantic footprint lay across the road. The clues led Anlia to conclude that the Boundary God Cult had deliberately planted the Demonic Vines and outmaneuvered her intelligence agents.

  • Winsa announced that the carriage was nearing South Nange Village as heavy rain reduced the number of monsters on the road.
  • Moss and Anlia noticed that monsters had been turning away from the area around Nange Village, and Anlia questioned whether the Demonic Vines had been deliberately planted.
  • Moss sensed that Nange Village had become silent ruins.
  • Winsa stopped the carriage at an enormous footprint that stretched across the road, and Anlia and Lina examined it.
  • Anlia dated the footprint to several days earlier and connected the planted vines and the intelligence leaks to the Boundary God Cult.

Ch. 136Footprints and a Child

Anlia and Molly tracked the enormous footprints while the rest of the group headed to Nange Village, and Molly discovered that the Giant Beast was moving toward the Luya Plain. After Molly subdued an attacking black panther that transformed into a beastfolk girl, she called Anlia over.

  • Anlia split up the group, sending Winsa, Lize, and Lina toward Nange Village while she and Molly followed the footprints.
  • Anlia and Molly found another footprint, then separated to search for more and agreed to use signal flares to mark discoveries.
  • Molly found a black panther and trapped it in water, but it transformed into a beastfolk girl, whom Molly caught and began healing.
  • Anlia used the footprint locations to estimate that the Giant Beast was hundreds of meters long and heading toward the Luya Plain, putting Hill City at risk.
  • Molly appeared in a tree and urgently called Anlia over to see what she had found.

Ch. 137Experiment Subject and the Abandoned Village

Moss and Anlia found an injured orc child who could transform into a beast, and suspected the Boundary God Cult had experimented on her and was involved in the giant beast’s appearance. At Nange Village, Lina, Winsa, and Lize found only silent ruins with no people, bodies, or Demonic Vines, then rushed toward the sound of a fight.

  • Moss told Anlia that an orc child had attacked her and that the child could transform into a beast.
  • Moss showed Anlia the child’s extensive scars, and Anlia identified her as a possible experiment subject of the Boundary God Cult.
  • Anlia said the cult was involved somehow but doubted it could have created the giant beast, and she and Moss headed for Nange Village.
  • Lina, Winsa, and Lize arrived at Nange Village and searched its ruins for survivors.
  • Lina’s spell detected no living voices, while Winsa and Lize found no people, corpses, blood, or Demonic Vines.
  • Winsa and Lize heard an explosion and ran toward the sounds of a fight.

Ch. 138Heretics

Lina, Lize, and Winsa fought a Black Thorn assassin from the Boundary God Cult, who sought to capture them as valuable prey. Just as he seized the unconscious Lize, Moss struck him and Anlia caught Lize.

  • Lina clashed with the Black Thorn assassin and demanded to know where the village’s people had gone.
  • Lize attacked the Black Robe, but he deflected her sword and knocked her unconscious.
  • Lina and Winsa combined their attacks against the Black Robe, but he emerged unharmed and took Lize hostage.
  • The Black Robe announced that he would take both Lina and Lize as prey.
  • Moss kicked the Black Robe and Anlia caught Lize, sending the assassin crashing into the ruins.

Ch. 139Rampage?

Anlia and the others faced the transformed Black Robe, who revealed himself as a werewolf and threatened to kill them. Moss pretended to be enraged, then unleashed her Magic Power and began a Boundary Breakthrough.

  • Lina reunited with Anlia and Molly, treated the unconscious Lize, and explained that a former Shadow Holy Court member had attacked her in Nange Village.
  • The Black Robe emerged from the ruins transformed into a werewolf and revealed that he wanted the escaped Experiment Subject for his plans.
  • Anlia ordered Molly to guard Lize and the little girl, but Winsa noticed Molly acting strangely.
  • Moss set the little girl down and secretly resolved to seriously wound the werewolf, then feigned fury to disguise her excitement.
  • Moss unleashed her Magic Power and shouted, "Boundary Break Through!"

Ch. 140An Identity

Moss used her battle with the werewolf to reveal her transformation and pass herself off as an escaped experimental subject of the Boundary God Cult. The werewolf recognized her as an escaped subject and eyed her greedily.

  • Moss decided that the injured beastfolk girl's similar transformation ability could provide the missing past needed to secure her identity.
  • Moss activated Boundary Limit Breakthrough and attacked the werewolf with a relentless flurry of strikes.
  • The werewolf caught Moss's cloak cord, and she deliberately took a punch while kicking his head to stage the end of their exchange.
  • Moss landed and revealed her transformed appearance to Anlia, Winsa, Lina, and the others.
  • The werewolf called Moss a successful escaped experimental subject and declared that she would make his day lucky.
