That Tianshui Sect disciple looked almost like a dried corpse. His gray-white eyes radiated yearning as he gazed at Lin Bai expectantly.
Lin Bai took another look at him. Although he was not dead yet, ninety-nine percent of the life force in his body had already been drained by the coffin. Even if Lin Bai rescued him, he would not survive for three hours.
With so much of his life force lost, unless there was some miraculous elixir that could bring the dead back to life, even an immortal could not save him.
But he was still alive, after all, and Lin Bai happened to have some questions for him.
At once, Lin Bai's spiritual power stirred, and he pulled the Tianshui Sect disciple out of the coffin from a distance. With so much of his life force drained, the man was already surrounded by a dense aura of death and did not even have the strength to stand. With a slap, he fell to the ground.
"Junior Brother, are you all right?" Lin Bai walked over and asked warily.
Although the man kept insisting that he was a Tianshui Sect disciple, Lin Bai could not simply take his word for it, so he remained on guard at all times.
The man seemed to sense that little life force remained in his body and that his consciousness was fading. Realizing that he was about to depart this world, despair and pain once again appeared in his eyes.
