On a mountaintop, a white deer pulled a carriage down from the clouds. Lin Bai and Xiao Cangsheng emerged from the carriage one after another, both looking up at the world before them.
In that vast land stood an endless mountain range. Its lush greenery blotted out the sky, and its vegetation flourished. The forests and wild mountains were brimming with overwhelming spiritual charm, while rays of rosy light blossomed beyond the Nine Heavens. One glance was enough to tell that this was a rare Blessed Land in the mortal world!
And that was indeed the case. In ancient times, this mountain range had been called the Azure Mountains, meaning "evergreen through ten thousand ages." It was one of the seventy-two famous Blessed Lands within Chu.
Over the long years, more than a dozen powerful sects and lineages had established their foundations here.
Later, after the Heaven and Earth Gate occupied this mountain range, they renamed the Azure Mountains the "Heaven and Earth Eternal Mountain Range," commonly known as the "Heaven and Earth Mountains."
After occupying this place, the Heaven and Earth Gate built residences for its disciples throughout the mountains. This was the Heaven and Earth Gate's outer sect, also known as the "Earth Gate."
High above the mountains floated enormous and unique islands, which together formed the "Heaven Gate" within the Heaven and Earth Gate.
From their distant vantage point atop the mountain, Lin Bai and Xiao Cangsheng could see that between the Heaven Gate and the Earth Gate of the Heaven and Earth Gate stood rows of white jade stairways shining with white radiance. They stretched up from the mountains of the Earth Gate, all the way into the firmament, linking one floating island after another.
