Lin Bai's heart instantly panicked.
He felt the void around him—front, back, left, and right—instantly locked down as the formation on the Star Shattering Compass in Elder Ge's hand unfolded.
His body froze in midair. No matter how he struggled, he could not move even an inch.
It felt as though he had been sealed inside a stone, unable to move, and even unable to breathe.
Immediately afterward.
A huge, formless hand reached out from the void, its five fingers grabbing toward him.
"Heh heh! Die!"
A sinister smile curled across Elder Ge's lips.
Just as those five fingers were about to close and crush Lin Bai—
Suddenly.
Elder Ge saw a blinding black radiance spreading from Lin Bai's body.
As the black radiance flickered across him, he faintly sensed that the Star Shattering Formation was slowly being torn apart!
That black radiance again.
Just what kind of power was this?
Elder Ge lowered his head and looked at the compass. Several more runes dimmed one after another, indicating that a breach had been torn through the formation on the compass.
The next moment.
Lin Bai broke free of the Star Shattering Formation's restraints and escaped through the gaps between the fingers just as the huge hand was about to close.
"Just what is going on?"
Elder Ge was utterly baffled. He stared at Lin Bai in shock and confusion.
He could not believe that his vaunted formation arts had repeatedly failed against Lin Bai.
It was as if Lin Bai possessed some special power that could continually break free of the formation's restraints.
"Brat, what exactly is that black radiance on your body?"
"Tell me at once, and this old man can spare your life!"
Elder Ge desperately wanted to know what that black radiance was.
